"My WWOOFing experience has been amazing so far. Luz Elena is such a great hostess, and the house seems to attract interesting people. There's not a single day like the other. Yet, it is very hard to stop and write about all the cool things that happened lately.
The work is going steady. Plants are sprouting in my room, and the improvised greenhouse gave a good chance to the other plants I've set outside. There are always great events happening at the art center. (..). The city has been a great place to hang out too - I just came back home from a delightful indian classical music live presentation by Bada Raga, thanks to my new beautiful friends, Kathleen and Clara.
There's also a new WWOOFer around (Hi, Stephan!), so now I have a "co-worker" and one more victim to my poor culinary skills:) He has different tasks but we help each other whenever we have the time.
I am very glad because I finally finished a garden bed - the lazy type, just layers of soil, compost, biochar e straw down the hill - and planted a bunch of jerusalem artichokes there. The plan is to have it "taking over" the property. The deers will probably love it too :D Now I just have to keep taking care of the rest of the garden beds and maybe do some seeding next week. I'm eager to see the true leaves on my seedlings so I can replant them and separate some... I still have to thin some of them but I hate to take these tiny new lives (silly, I know)... even if they taste so good in my salad. :D"
