"It was a really wonderful - and busy - week, so I barely used Internet and only got the camera to work yesterday. (...) I worked on the three beds they have right in front of the house. (...) I've planted 3 varieties that will not be affected by the cold weather: kale, spinach and peas. I'm also trying to sprout indoors, to give a better chance for some seeds that does not thrive so well on what people here call the "mud season", when the last snow is all melting and everything is, well, muddy.
I had only one harvest since I've arrived: jerusalem artichokes! Yummy and very easy to grow. I'm gonna try down south, let's see what happens...
And Brattleboro is a great town, as I expected. Mahalo Art Center is a very special place and I'm very glad to help them on this project.
To finish the post, The mighty RED:
This dude only looks tough, he is super docile. And, thanks to him and the 5 hens my hostess has, I found out that chickens have nothing against me (although I've been bribing them with chickweed)"
